Message from General Chairs regarding CoVID-19

Last Updated: May 02, 2020 7:20 am IST

The 2020 IEEE Indian Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium (InGARSS 2020) is scheduled to be held as planned, December 1-5, 2020 in Ahmedabad, India. Of course, the safety and well-being of all conference participants is our top priority, and the situation is quickly evolving due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Organizing Committee is considering various options for InGARSS 2020 in case alternate arrangements need to be made to protect the health of our global community. Due to the uncertain situation, we may postpone opening registration for the conference. Certainly at this point in time, it is premature for participants to make any travel reservations.

We will continue to monitor official travel advisories and update the InGARSS 2020 website to keep you informed. We will also continue to monitor advisories issued by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) as well as work with our local venue partners to remain current on their preparedness and recommendations. We urge all travelers to keep informed and check for updated information on these sites:

Wishing you the best of health and good preparation for InGARSS 2020!

Dr. Shiv Mohan, Ex SAC/ISRO, Ahmedabad
